Olá!
Que bom que você entende português! Eu poderia ajudar você a montar esse curso se você quiser, claro...
That's great! You know Portuguese! I could help you in make a course if you want to, of course...
(by the way, I speak Brazilian-Portuguese, with the same words but used in different forms, and I think is more easy to learn :) )

I have read a story about some guy who said he ruined his Japanese accent forever by speaking from the very beginning. On the other hand, there do seem to be different cases as you are pointing out.

I just don't know. So I don't pretend to know and I'd just try to do what feels right.

Ok, I don't have enough experience myself in language learning, but from the cases I've read about It seems to me that there's no difference in the long term between speaking early or not. I mention again Benny whose tecniques as you probably know involve lots of speaking from the early stages, and his accents (in Spanish and French at least, from what I can judge) don't seem to have 'been damaged' actually they're above average.

Even more impressive is Richard Simcott, who also likes to speaks a lot in the early stages, and his german accent is flawless, indistinguishable from a native (search for his German video on youtube)

So the real difference is not wether you speak early or not but again the amounts of input you get, whether you like to wait a bit or start speaking right away is irrelevant, the important thing is teh input.

But as I mentioned I'm not experienced enough so I might be wrong, but still as you said, speaking is more fun.
