Introduction to Sambahsa-3: Lesson 17

Nearly all Sambahsa pronouns have consequently a special (and compulsory) form for the dative. For example, the dative of io/ego is mi. Remember that some Sambahsa words have a "desiderative", i.e. the suffix -skw meaning "to want, to intent to". In Sambahsa, jacket is jaquet. After a stressed syllable ending with a consonant, the ending of the 1st person of the singular (present tense) is -o. Let’s translate I want to buy to myself that jacket. into Sambahsa, with that order : to-me I-want-to buy that jacket.

?I want to buy to myself that jacket.|Mi kaupskwo tod jaquet.
